All of these songs are from roughly the same era… the era when you alphabetized compact discs, drove an hour for the new Bedhead (sold out) and rewarded yourself that Unwound record after a week’s work. So the Meta-Matics still played one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, Chris Thomson is still one of my favorite singers, I still think of the same person when I hear “Drunk Friend” and Superchunk is still my favorite band. The only memories worth remembering are the good ones.
